Fiji feels like a lifetime ago. Here's what's going on with me at the moment:
- University. This is my LAST SEMESTER. This is terrifying. I got through last semester with a credit, a distinction and a high distinction (screenwriting, prac V music and photography respectively) and since this is my last one, I hope to go out with a bang. Maybe even an HD for prac if I can swing it!
- Work. I've become a deli-chick. This is very strange, being someone who does not enjoy cleaning and would not eat if it weren't, you know, necessary to survival. But, having been there now for about 5 months, I've gotten really good at estimating shaved ham weights and I can remember most of the important PLUs. Go me.
- Music. I've put a new track up for your listening pleasure (hopefully) on MySpace, called "Like It Hot". My MySpace is a bit weird at the moment, I applied a new theme but I'm not sure I like it so bear with me... but listen to the song! [link] . Doing a unit on internet music marketing and another on audio engineering this semester (I love 3rd year and its electives!) so hopefully I'll be all equipped and able when I get my degree.
- Life. Still with my gorgeous Christobiscuit, coming up on 3 years and 4 months. Not really enjoying this him-in-Brisbane-me-on-Tweed-Coast thing but the plan is, once uni finishes I pack up shop and ship out to Brisbane to join him. With a bit of luck. Looking forward to that phase of my life - building a life for myself has been really exciting so far and I don't know where I'll end up, but I can't wait to see what job I land, what my place looks like, and how I fare.
- Other stuff. Got a little Twilight obsessed for a bit there. I think I've recovered. Actually, wait. I made an Alice Cullen replica necklace tonight for a party I'm going to as a vampire on Saturday. Probably not so recovered. But everyone's gotta have some romance! Also, new Dresden Files is MADNESS. Can't get enough of Jim Butcher. Or Joss Whedon - Dollhouse is fantastic. Castle is also with the greatness (Go Fillion!). Incubus' Monuments and Melodies has me fangirling all over again - those guys CAN'T write a bad song. Another current addiction is lingerie. I know, wtf? But I can't go past a Bras N Things without going in. Upside of this is a slowly developing collection of pretty knickers. Downside is the steady depletion of the bank account.
And that about brings you up to speed! How are you lot? Seriously, let me know.

Actually I haven't seen any of it, it's pretty hard to come by here in Aus. Loooooove the books though.

Hey, I like like Like It Hot, it's like, pretty cool, you know?

It's a little creepy to say this, but if/when you move to Brisbane and you're still shooting we should meet up for a shooting spree.

Anyway, congratulations on doing so well at uni last semester, I hope you blitz this one!

So I've seen it now! I actually quite liked it, which surprised me cause I wasn't expecting to like it at all. I think Paul Blackthorne made a pretty good Harry :)

Hey! Thanks dude :D Shooting spree would be awesome fun. I reckon I could learn a lot from you.
I hope I blitz this semester too... only one more week of classes after this week, and then only 2 more assignments to do and then FREEDOM! I seriously can't wait. And then hopefully find a job and somewhere to live in the old BrisVegas.
How's life treating you? Please hug your kitty for me :)

Haha, I shall. Are you going to your grad. ceremony?

Life's pretty good. I'm doing bridging courses so that I'm all prepared for going back to uni next year to study science hopefully leading into engineering in second year. But apart from that, no job, no car and all my friends are busy doing stuff. I can't wait for summer though, the long hot days make being lazy mandatory until the afternoon change.

Ain't that the truth! Yeah I'll do the whole funny-hat-and-robe thing... again... I did that when I graduated from TAFE, as if that counts. Someone accidentally put me in the special robes that people being awarded things other than diplomas in music get to wear, I wish they'd let me stay in them.
Engineering eh? Putting them smarts to good use. All my friends are busy doing stuff too, but then even if they weren't I'd be like, "sorry, folio's due in a week!" and I'd have to fob them off until October.
Which uni are you gonna go to?

Hopefully UQ, bit depends how I go in getting a place and whether I can go straight into Engineering next year. Otherwise back to QUT, although at least I'll be spending more time at Garden's Point rather than a hole in the outer suburbs.

Haha. My boyfriend goes to QUT Kelvin Grove. But he used to go to Southern Cross in Lismore with me so I think it seems like Mecca to him. I'm just incredibly jealous that his uni sells bubble tea.
